Frequently Asked Questions

How can I maximize my insurance benefits?

At Cape Dental Care we are able to preserve our high standards of care, as well as keep our fees near or below the Lee County average by maintaining an “Out-of-Network” status with insurance companies. This means that Cape Dental Care does not sign a contract with any insurance carrier. Insurers that provide their customers out-of-network benefits or freedom to choose their dentist may use their insurance at Cape Dental Care. Your policy provider may have more information on these options and any limitations. Please contact your plan using the phone number on the back of your card if you have specific questions about your plan.  As a courtesy, we file all insurance claims for you and do everything possible to maximize your benefits. Nearly 70% of our current patients utilize their dental insurance in our office.

A note on dental insurance. Each plan is different. We need all dental insurance information to contact the insurance company and file your insurance prior to your appointment.  Insurance payments are set by your insurance company and you may receive a bill after your visit if your insurance has not paid as expected.

If you have further questions, we invite you to consult with our insurance coordinator on the phone or in person.

***Medicare, Medicaid, & HMO plans are not accepted. ***

Do you offer payment plans?

Cape Dental Care uses a third party lender, CareCredit, for payment plans.  With quick and easy approval, treatment can often begin the same day. CareCredit offers several options with 0% interest for qualified borrowers. Learn more about their services at CareCredit.com.

Do you send appointment reminders?

We can communicate YOUR way!

Our office utilizes state-of-the-art technology to help you remember your appointment date and time. Here are some important things you should know about our communication procedures:

  1. APPOINTMENT REMINDERS delivered the way you want! We can communicate using e-mail, text, postcard or traditional phone call. Be sure to let our office know which of these methods you prefer or ways you do NOT want to be contacted so we can deactivate that feature for your account.
  2. PLEASE RESPOND to the first email we send you so you only get the communication that you want.
  3. ALWAYS click one of the “response links” in the email. DO NOT click the  email “Reply” button to respond.
  4. Our 2-Way Texting feature now let’s you confirm your appointment from your mobile phone. Simply reply with C and we will automatically confirm your appointment.

Please Note:  When you do NOT respond to an e-mail message, we do not assume you read it, so the next message in the series will be sent. The next message may be another e-mail, postcard, phone call or text.

Cancellations or changes are not accepted through text, you MUST call!
