This is exactly why this blog was written in the first place. The insurance policy contract is between the patient and the insurance company, NOT the dentist and the insurance company (in our case since we are a non-participating provider). Our front desk calls every insurance company to see what and who is covered in each policy. We can ONLY act on what we are told over the phone or receive in the mail. If the insurance company tells us someone is not covered, then we do not argue. The job of arguing is left up to the insured and their family. This is yet another way the insurance companies drives a wedge between the dental office who files for their patients and the patient who has no idea how to file a dental claim on their own. If the dentists of the world get fed up with this type of situation and stopped filing for the patients all together (like many have already done) then the insurance companies win, BIG! Every insurance company will be quick to remind you that they are not responsible for mis-information given over the phone or in writing. We are truly sorry this situation has happened. We are vigorous fighters for our patients rights and deeply regret this was not questioned/appealed to a satisfactory conclusion. We will contact you about helping you with your specific case needs.

Hello~ My family and I have been a patients of Dr. Kraver for over 20+ years. I remember when I was a little girl and got to pick a reward out of the "treasure chest" after a visit. (When the office used to be an old house)Dr. Kraver has always been a great dentist, but my concern and disappointment lies with the office management. My family and I feel as though the main concern of this practice is not for the well being of their patients any longer, but for making sure that they are getting their money from the insurance companies. Which we completely understand, but to make a client of 20+ years always feel interrogated as to whether or not the office is getting paid, is ridiculous. I went in for my bi-annual cleaning/get cavities filled, and was informed that my father's insurance no longer covered me since I had turned a year older. I was given the option of paying out of pocket, I left before being seen, because I have no way of affording the visit without insurance. My father gets a lot of money taken out of his paycheck, monthly, for insurance for my sister and I. We have ALWAYS paid/been good for our money. My mother actually called the insurance provider before I went there that day to double check that I was covered, and I was. I let the lady at the front office(which I think was his wife) know this, she argued with me and said that we were wrong. So this year 2012 my mother gets the print out of what the insurance covers, and discovers that I WAS eligible for the dental work the day of my appointment. Now in 2012 though I am NOT eligible for any dental coverage. She preceeded to call Cape Dental Care and explained the situation. They said that there is nothing they can do to help me. I am an unemployed, and recently started attending school to better my life. How can I afford to get my teeth fixed now? Cape Dental Care had no responsibility for this mishap though? 20+ years of good dental hygine down the tubes..

I have had my dentures since December 2011 and the fit is still great. I remember that with the original ones I would have to use extra adhesive after 3 or 4 hours after putting them in or during a meal. They hold all day. I don't have to do this any more. I have much more confidence with these dentures made by Cape Dental Care. The look and fit is great.

Works for me too, thank God for that Amazon poster! Saved me money and I get relief after years of suffering with cold sores! If I put in on in the early stages, the sore does not hurt or itch and it never goes full blown. What a relief! Everyone should know about this

I have use viroxyn and bought at Big Lots to see if it worked. Abreva does nothing with the healing just makes a oozy mess. Bought the last 4 pkgs and it worked. Went out to drug stores to find more and nothing anywhere!! So jumped on internet and found that it is the same as Bactine amazing. It is heaven to have it healed in a day or two if caught at the first signs. Not having a growth for 7 -10 days and a oozy sore is the best. It scabs up right away. Who knew that the stuff we used as kids is still the best!

This is my 2nd set of dentures and they are great. The look and fell are by far superior than the first. The technology that is used to fit them to my mouth was a lot easier to deal with and on my second and final visit everything went a lot smother than I hoped for. Dr Kraver and his assistant where wonderful, caring and accommodating. Watching the birds in the aviary is a great distraction to what is being done not to mention T.V. I highly recommend Cape Dental Care for all their dental needs.
