Dr. Phillip Kraver has completed a postgraduate residency that extensively trained him in the use of IV sedation. He is licensed to administer IV sedation and makes this option available for all qualifying patients. Our Sedation Dentistry Services
Commonly called “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is the most common form of sedation used in general dentistry. Our office has it available in every room, making it a convenient way to help you feel relaxed during your visit. This sedation involves wearing a nose mask that provides both oxygen and nitrous oxide gas throughout your appointment. Once the procedure is completed, we remove the mask and immediate recovery is expected within 5-10 minutes. You won’t need anyone to drive you home.
IV sedation is our most popular form of sedation. It involves administering a combination of two sedatives through an IV that helps you “feel” like you are asleep, though you will be able to respond to questions and commands throughout the procedure. IV sedation allows you to be extremely comfortable and relaxed so we can complete more complex or lengthy treatments with greater efficiency. Patients are happy with their experience, and especially that they leave our office with little or no recollection of their procedure.
